Collection: Chris Bacon

The paintings of Chris Bacon have won world wide recognition and acclaim. Born in England, Bacon immigrated to Canada in the mid 1970's, settling in Burlington. He made is artist debut in 1980 and has worked at his painting on a full time basis every since. He is a 'Master Signature Member' of the Society of Animal Artists and has received seven 'Awards of Excellence' from that organization in addition to the 'Elliot Liskin Memorial Award' in 1996. He was honoured to receive the prestigious 'Master Wildlife Artist Award' from Woodson Art Museum in 2004 and in 2008 received the 'Trustees Purchase Award' from the National Museum of Wildlife Art. In 2012 Bacon was presented with the 'Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal' in recognition of his achievements in the arts. (tourismburlington.com)
