Collection: Lawrence Nickle

OSA (1931-2014)

Born in Toronto, Ontario, Nickle studied at the Ontario College of Art (1954). Working mainly in oils, acrylic, and watercolour, Nickle's main subjects included landscapes of Northern Ontario. Most of his works were painted on wood board and created in situ. His landscapes have an extraordinary painterly quality which draws and captures the viewer in to the painting.
